Every MAC product that i’ve owned has broken. All eyeshadows have cracked, shattered, or completely de-potted within 2 months after buying, and my pro-longwear concealer bottle shattered when it fell off of a shelf, and into the sink. A blush, also, almost completely de-potted. Im just wondering why this is. I know they were genuine MAC products, as i purchased them in a MAC Cosmetics store, i was not exceptionally rough with any of the products, and you’d think that even so they could take a bit of a knocking around. I’d never previously dropped any of these products, so im curious as to why the packaging and product seems so..poor quality. No doubt they’re good quality products , but for the money if theyre going to break so easily.. opinions? similar experiences? do i just need to be more careful? how?
As i stated before: i am not rough with my makeup. I store everything in organized drawers, and the things that i use most often are kept on a shelf thats maybe a foot above the sink. Which is where the concealer fell from – the shelf is not overly crowded, it was not jostled off, it was just mistakenly nudged by my hand whilst putting another product back. (Yes, i know this was my fault. I am just confused as i thought the glass may have been thicker? Or Something to prevent it from completely shattering the first and only time it was ever dropped…)

When Madam Walker first developed a chemical to straighten the texture of african hair, was she buying into a concept that feeds into the ideology that what comes natural to people of african ancestory is unattractive and pave the way for psuedo european imitations in the form of weaves and wigs on black women? Would it not have been better for people of African ancestory to embrace what comes natural to them by learning to cultivate their hair in it’s natural state? That concept of beauty is so deeply rooted. Contemptuous, self denial is reflected in black women spending hundreds and thousands of dollars imitating the European hair texture rather than appreciating and cultivating their hair in it’s natural state. Madam C J walker was the first black woman millionaire to earn her money and that is certainly comendable. Was she more of a sell out than an entrepenuer? Did she mass produce more than a product selling hair straightener to black people to ‘tame’ what was natural to them?

I’ve heard about human hair extensions alot! Where do they get the hair from? Do people give their hair to companies and then get money for it? Or is the person dead and they cut of their hair? i just don’t understan haha sorry for weird question

I am in desperate need of a GOOD hair cut. I don’t have a ton of money to spend so I am going to go to Regis Hair Salon. But I want to find the best stylist they have to cut my hair. Is it tacky for me to call the receptionist and ask her to schedule me an appointment with the best one at the salon? Would the receptionist even know who was the best? What should I do?

I have a straight human hair weave that I have been wearing only 2 weeks. I washed it and now it is frizzy and dry and tangles very easily. Anybody know how to bring back that silky texture without going back to the salon and paying more money for a new weave? HELP!!!

I will be getting a MacBook soon and want to save money however I can. I am considering a 2010 13" MacBook Pro from the Apple Refurbished Store. I know last year’s model is less powerful than this year’s but I don’t do graphic design or movie making or anything like that. If anyone has owned a refurbished apple product, tell me how it looks like if it has marks or anything and if it works the same as a new Mac. Make sure to say if it has any cosmetic problems or scratches because I want it to be in perfect, new condition. Thanks

Last time I went they shampooed & conditioned my hair before cutting it, is that free? Because I’d rather do that at my house and save money. Oh and how much is a haircut or trim there, like around 30 bucks? I paid around 30 last time with a shampoo, pretty expensive.

I have long hair and I want it in waves for prom. But sadly I cannot find the cost anywhere. I want to know before had to see if I can actually spend money on getting my hair done. PROM IS ON SATURDAY. =D

I found this product called the Verseo ePen Permanent Hair Removal System. Which is like electrolysis at home but wihtout the painful needle. I went for electrolysis a few years ago but i couldnt handle the pain so i stoped! i was wondering if anyone knows of this product and if it really works? it was on HSN as well.

I bought a box of Sally Beauty Supply 18" hair extensions. They are a shade darker than my hair. And they won’t blend. Because my hair is 2 inches past my shoulder and my hair is semi thick, but i get it thinned. And I can’t buy another box, I don’t have enough money. Any suggestions?
