my mom is letting me dye my hair (finally) and so i got sally beauty supply hair highlighters and i want to know if i can dye it with my dark brown hair and how long it will last (the highlighters have a gold top and it says hair highlighter on the side. i got the colors darkish blue, red, brown, and gold)

I heard about the term "hair weaving" and i asked my mom what it was and she said that they make new follicles for hair or something… I just wanted to know what it was because i didnt know that this could be possible… Thanks!

well im african american but i dont have a relaxer ./ my mom has band me from getting one. she has a hairstyle thats short and cute for her but she like almost 31 and im 13. she says that she will hot comb my hair ( yes hot comb instead of flat iron) but im kinda worried about her ability to do hair. i need hair styles for hot combed/flat ironed hair. my hair is not even medium length. it short.like halfway down my neck short. it brown but look black when straight. i wanted a kind of "emo:/rocker girl kind of look but one my hair really lond so most styles look weird and my hair isnt colored so ot looks sort of bland. thats why i want girly but kind of edgy. something easy to do but not to girly and not longish. PS THE MODEL PERSON THING SHOULD PROBABLY BE BLACK BECAUSE MY MOM, SAYS SHE THINKS THAT I THINK IM WHITE AND I DO NOT. IF THE HAIRSTYLES ISNT ON A BLACK PERSON SHE GET DISSAPOINTED AND WONT DO IT. BLACK PERSON PLEASE. also nothing with braids or something. OH AND MY BANGS ARE LONGER ON ONESIDE BUT THEY WONT REACH TO THE OTHER SIDE OF MY FACE. so nothing that you need bangs longer the maybe chin length. preferably ear length. DONT FORGET EASY,EDGY, AND ON A BLACK GIRL. FOR FLAT IRONED/HOT HOT COMBED HAIR ONLY. NOT FOR LONG HAIR. THX!!!

I’m going on a really long vacation soon, and I am going to wax my legs. I want to wax my armpits, but my mom says it will hurt to much. Is it true? Should I do it anyways? Now I use Veet, but it only stays away for about 3 days, and it takes too long and too many bottles to do my legs and underarms more than twice a week.

If I do end up getting waxed will it hurt, because it will be my first time?

I was thinking about dying my hair before school this year. I didn’t ask my mom yet but I did before and she said no but incase she says yes this time I was just wondering a few things.

I have dirty-blonde hair that is naturally wavy and thick.I have brown eyes and a tanish skin tone. I was thinking about dying my hair a darker shade of brown. I was wondering what shade of brown would look good on me?

And also how much would getting my hair dyed in Regis hair salon cost? Or pretty much any salon, but if you know about regis, you can please tell me.

Well my mom has this Veet Hair removal cream but she told me to " ruin my arms" but it really bothers me and its embarrising
and shes gone to work, and im home alone.
how long does it last?
i might just put a tiny bit on my arms to see what it does.
do you guys think thats a good idea just to put a tiny bit and see how it works,?

I really need an alternative to shaving, and I’m not allowed to do anything else (waxing or nair..) because my mom is weird. Do they actually work?

In november i had a friend dye my hair from box, she completely covered it but when it dried there were so many spots missed! I had my mom redye it a couple days later and the spots were still there. Finally i decide just to go to a professional to get this fixed she had to dye it a darker color (dark brown) so itd match everything. I went to Regis. But not im noticing some spots! Is it my hair that’s not letting the dye in or is it stylists fault? What can i do to fix this?! Do root touch up kits work even if its not my roots that’s the problem?! PLEASE HELP! ten points best answer!
Im very nervous when it comes to complaining or asking someone to fix something, but how can i handle this when i call them so that they understand?

Im black and my hair is straightened. A few days ago i wanted to do something new for my hair so i made a little braided headband. When i got home from school my mom said, "That hairstyle is for white girls. You’re not white, you’re hair isn’t as smooth so you can’t pull it off" I just realized my mom doesn’t have a lot of room to talk sh!t because she dyes her hair platinum blonde. She looks like a curly orange ish blonde sheep.

I’m Semi-Biracial, meaning my Father is Half white and Half black while my mom is fully black. I need to know what products i should use for my hair. Preferably one i DON’T have to buy online, but if that’s all you can think of I’m willing to try it. Also, my hair is thick and REALLY curly, but nappy…
Also, I’m aminly looking for shampoos and conditioners as opposed to flat irona and stuff.
