I’m a Black female with long hair. It’s 3 inches above my backside. I always get the stupid "What are you mixed with" question,lol. & the answer is black and more black!. Lately I have been leaving it out and people have been running their hands through it but for some reason it’s been feeling dry and I’m starting to get split ends. I usually do my hair myself and I cut it every week, but I know I need to do something else with it & with work and school it’s usually put up in a bun like my avatar. So any tips? On managing split ends and dealing with dry hair? Any good Black Hair Care or good hair care products out there?

Any tips?

BTW, I use Dr. Miracles, Castor Oil and Carrot Oil.

I am looking into getting hair extensions for my hair and i cant decide what to get whether to get real human hair or synthetic! I dont want to spend anymore than 0 but i would rather pay 0 i am probably going to get them from Hairhouse warehouse does anyone know how much they are. I have hair a little past my shoulders and have always wanted long hair!! So if anyone could give me some advise that would be great thanks!!

I am interested in purchasing clip in hair extensions. I was browsing online and came across Luxy Hair extensions. My cousin who is a hair dresser told me to just go to Sally’s Beauty Supply and get them. I am looking to have thick long hair like Kim Kardashian of course. Does anyone recommend either of these places? Does Sally’s have thick hair extensions?

I have friends from all walks of life and 80% of them wear hair weaves and some wigs. Most of them have nice long hair but will wear weaves to give themselves a different look. The way they explain it all it sounds good, but I just can’t seem to bring myself to buy one even though I would really like to try it out. My problem is worrying about what a guy might think about it. So gentlemen tell me, does a woman wearing a hair weave bother you? Ladies what do you think about this?

well im african american but i dont have a relaxer ./ my mom has band me from getting one. she has a hairstyle thats short and cute for her but she like almost 31 and im 13. she says that she will hot comb my hair ( yes hot comb instead of flat iron) but im kinda worried about her ability to do hair. i need hair styles for hot combed/flat ironed hair. my hair is not even medium length. it short.like halfway down my neck short. it brown but look black when straight. i wanted a kind of "emo:/rocker girl kind of look but one my hair really lond so most styles look weird and my hair isnt colored so ot looks sort of bland. thats why i want girly but kind of edgy. something easy to do but not to girly and not longish. PS THE MODEL PERSON THING SHOULD PROBABLY BE BLACK BECAUSE MY MOM, SAYS SHE THINKS THAT I THINK IM WHITE AND I DO NOT. IF THE HAIRSTYLES ISNT ON A BLACK PERSON SHE GET DISSAPOINTED AND WONT DO IT. BLACK PERSON PLEASE. also nothing with braids or something. OH AND MY BANGS ARE LONGER ON ONESIDE BUT THEY WONT REACH TO THE OTHER SIDE OF MY FACE. so nothing that you need bangs longer the maybe chin length. preferably ear length. DONT FORGET EASY,EDGY, AND ON A BLACK GIRL. FOR FLAT IRONED/HOT HOT COMBED HAIR ONLY. NOT FOR LONG HAIR. THX!!!

I’d like to have a long hair ,also dont want to wait, the best way i think is to use extensions ,just as everybody knows ,extensions are in vogue , i want to have human hair extensions but not synthetic ones ,how do u actually know the difference between this two?

I’m seventeen, and am a girl.
I use to have really thick, long hair. But when I was 15, I use to straighten my hair every single day without heat protectant for 2 years… which brings us to now.
I’ve completly stopped straightening, blowdrying or putting any heat in my hair 3 months ago since I started losing hair mid last year.
so much hair comes out when i wash my hair or when i comb it.. or randomly.. strands just come out.
Btw I have curly, dry, fragile hair.
Please help me on what I should do?
also.. what is a good daily hair care routine?

I’m changing up my look from short hair to long hair because I’m a little bored of having the same haircut. I want to grow it out long. I want to know if there are any "long hair" hairstyles for black men other than dreadlocks.

If you can only think of dreads, is there anyway to make them neat and not nappy? such as this pic:
