Is this particular hairstyle percieved in the same way that afro’s, dreads and braids are percieved in the workplace? Could having this hairstyle affect somebody from getting hired?

And when i say black hair i dont mean the color. I have african american hair is what i mean. Im mixed. A while ago i cut all my hair off for charity and idk why but its hasnt grown back the way I thought it would so i just kept it short. I have been wearing braids since march and I want to switch it up. Whats some new hairstyles i should try? And advice would help. Thanks

Tomorrow us 6th grade girls are going to a swimming-end of the year party at school. What hairstyle should i use? Braids? Ponytails? Buns? Please be specific!! My hair is to my shoulders. It is black. It is thick. Also, I have bangs, but how do i put them up without them coming back down?? I don’t want them down. Also, any makeup tips?? Thanks soooooo much!!! Also, if you have any tips or tricks to keep my hair un-tangly,frizzy,etc., please let meh know!!!!

I’m a black guy, 18, and I really want a new hairstyle. Something that’s somewhat different and stands out but attractive. I’ve always had short, curly, black hair, typically fades or regular cuts, but now I want something a bit different. I’ve thought about the following:
dreadlocks, twisties, braids, cornrows, mohawk, dying a center strip of hair light brown (like the size of a mohawk) and just recently I’ve thought of having a half bald head, half low cut, kinda like cassie got but a male version.

Any suggestions? What do you think looks best on a black guy?

It’s a tie between 3 and 5. So which one is elegant and wont get all ugly looking while dancing because i will jump around. I’m a crazy dancer. So which one is gorgeous and more safe?

i am an indain with really thick black hair, which is long, super straight, and VERY silky. My hair goes down to my mid-thighs. I can’t curl my hair OR cut itt. Well, are there any hairstyles i could use without products(Braids, ponytails….etc.), because i am not allowed to as it damages my hair!!!!!Is my hair attractive???

I’m a black girl with short hair and I haven’t gotten a relaxer in almost a year. I’ve been wearing braids alot, which is helping my hair grow. But now I’m looking for a different hairstyle I could try. Any suggestions?

Like the same pattern? I dont like to sew straight on the braids because it always makes my bang sit up.

well im african american but i dont have a relaxer ./ my mom has band me from getting one. she has a hairstyle thats short and cute for her but she like almost 31 and im 13. she says that she will hot comb my hair ( yes hot comb instead of flat iron) but im kinda worried about her ability to do hair. i need hair styles for hot combed/flat ironed hair. my hair is not even medium length. it short.like halfway down my neck short. it brown but look black when straight. i wanted a kind of "emo:/rocker girl kind of look but one my hair really lond so most styles look weird and my hair isnt colored so ot looks sort of bland. thats why i want girly but kind of edgy. something easy to do but not to girly and not longish. PS THE MODEL PERSON THING SHOULD PROBABLY BE BLACK BECAUSE MY MOM, SAYS SHE THINKS THAT I THINK IM WHITE AND I DO NOT. IF THE HAIRSTYLES ISNT ON A BLACK PERSON SHE GET DISSAPOINTED AND WONT DO IT.
