Black Hair Care Products !?
I’m a Black female with long hair. It’s 3 inches above my backside. I always get the stupid "What are you mixed with" question, lol. & the answer is black and more black!. Lately I have been leaving it out and people have been running their hands through it but for some reason it’s been feeling dry and I’m starting to get split ends. I usually do my hair myself and I cut it every week, but I know I need to do something else with it & with work and school it’s usually put up in a bun like my avatar. So any tips? On managing split ends and dealing with dry hair? Any good Black Hair Care or good hair care products out there?
Any tips?
BTW, I use Dr. Miracles, Castor Oil and Carrot Oil.
why are the majority of black haircare products filled with ingredients that are proven to stunt hair growth?
or are told to be used in the wrong way
example: mineral oil and petroleum are the base in many black hair care products, mineral oil is not natural it does not penetrate the hair shaft and it sits on the scalp, collects dirt and clogs pores, stopping hair growth. yet on many products that contain it, it says to put in hair and on scalp. products with mineral oil are also told they moisturize or condition which is a complete lie since oils do not bring moisture to your hair they seal it in, its in lots of products like hair grease, hair lotions waxes..
Isopropyl Alcohol: Dries and Breaks black hair. It is found in color rinses, anti-freeze
Polyethylene Glycol (PEG): Strips hair of critical moisture. Used as an emulsifier in products, dissolves oils and grease

i was mainly asking this to other blacks and also letting them know what ingredients to stay away from, but thanks for your input, i realize white people are ignorant when it comes to black hair issues
Isn't it funny when whites think they can't use black hair care products…when?
blacks have been using white hair care products before black hair care products were even thought of..
I think this is funny how terribly racist these people are, yet claim that they are not..what is even more crazy is that non-whites(mostly black) don’t think these people are racist..
The only difference is hair products is the level of moisturizer…if you have dry hair(no matter what type of hair you have) a moisturizing product will work best.

Ok, I’m looking for some great hair maintenance tips to begin doing my own hair. I want to use some professional, retail products, but I don’t know where to find them. I also need some stying tips. I have thick, shoulder-length, relaxed, healthy hair (from going to the salon for the pass two years). I need some professional black hair care tips! Please and Thank You

Have you ever wondered why Koreans "own" the Black Hair Care Industry?
- Well, they didn’t just "stumble" upon it if that’s what you thought. "The Korean Takeover of the Black Haircare Industry" Documentary by Aron Ranen details the racism that certain Asians & whites partake in in the Black hair care industry
They have intentionally blacklisted black made products in favor of Asian made ones that are made for Blacks. They have studied said products, bootlegged them, then refused to sell them in their stores
These same Asian merchants were interviewed and lauged about the whole situation. There was a Black store owner who claimed that the Asian makers would not even sell the products to him and other Black store owners in hopes of their stores lacking product, leading to lacking sales, leading to them closing, leading to a new Asian store opening in it’s place. Asian store owners, product makers, and cultural experts admitted that the takeover is very racially charged.
Does this bother anyone else?
Badkitty, shut the hell up you didn’t even answer the damn question or address what I said; details in my question addressed everything you said, idiot, we know that there are black hair care companies
