can I ask for a discount at a BIG company/brand store?
I am planning on buying MAC cosmetics soon and spending alot.i was wondering if I could ask for any kind of discount at all?? what other store do this?

You can always ask. But normally big chains stores don’t give discounts. You might have better luck in a small locally-owned mom and pop store.
Remember the sales staff in big stores are only their to ring up sales. They have no say in how the company runs nor can they change pricing. A manager MIGHT be able to give you a discount but don’t embarrass the regular sales staff by asking them. They can’t help you.
Also high ticket items like MAC never discount. That is what keeps their products exclusive and thus expensive. Ever heard of Tiffany’s having a sale or giving a discount ? No, Never.
everything in life is negotiable , you can even ask them to pay the sales tax, they can say no way. And you can then walk away. they lose the sale and you end up without the product.just maybe , if they want the sale bad enough, they just may call you back.
You can ask. Expect to be told no.
